Furl (2019)
Furl teeters knee-deep in the crunchy pleasures of billowing plastic. A repeated attempt to clear the space produces minor choreographies of imbalance and extraction that meditate on compromise, mess, and graceless exits.
Furl generates sculptural forms from a huge sheet of tarpaulin through a simple and childish twist. Discovered through accident in spring 2017, it was immediately and unambiguously understood to be our ‘Brexit’ work.
