IFP (2014)
The Imaginary Festivals Project presented a printed programme of a fictional venue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The second part of the project was a periodical INFO, written, printed and distributed during the festival, consisting of submitted reviews, articles, images, interviews of fictional shows.
IFP was fun and stupid.
We put together and printed a programme for a fictional arts venue and distributed it across the city. We made appropriate the banal and homogenous language of arts marketing, and invited others to dream up with us wild, improbably, illegal, ill-advised and utopic artworks and performances that we hoped would somehow corrupt the imaginary of the trade-fair that is the Edinburgh Fringe.
